Our Care Inspectorate Wales registered playgroup provides excellent childcare for children from two years old until they start school full-time.  The report from our latest CIW inspection, can be downloaded below.

Our playgroup is also a member of Early Years Wales, an association which exists to enhance the development, care and education of pre-school children in Wales.

Our playgroup provision is available five days a week during term times. 

Session Times and Fees

Morning Session: 9am to 11.30am - £12.50

Afternoon Session: 1pm to 3.15pm - £12.50

Wraparound Care (for pupils attending part-time nursery in school): 11.45am to 3.15pm - £15 (please note, you may be eligible to access funding to this via the 30-Hour Childcare Offer Wales - please see below for more details)

Full Day Care: 9am to 3.15pm - £27.50

Our Staff

Our playgroup staff are experienced and appropriately qualified, ensuring that children settle well into the playgroup routines and have an immersive and engaging pre-school experience whilst attending the provision.  Our caring staff work alongside parents to the meet the individual needs of each child and are always available and willing to discuss any queries or concerns they may have.

Our Aims:

  • To provide high quality daycare, in partnership with parents and carers, that enhances the development, care and education of pre-school children in a safe and stimulating environment, where they learn through play.
  • To welcome parents and carers who want to become directly involved in the activities of the provision and provide opportunities to do so.
  • To encourage and support parents and carers to understand and provide for the needs of their children.
  • To embrace the ethos and principles of Early Years Wales.

30-Hour Childcare Offer for Wales

We are registered for the 30-hour childcare offer from the Welsh Government.  This is available the term after a child's third birthday.  Please contact us to find out more information about this offer or click on the link below for further details, including whether you are eligible to receive this funding.

Policies and Procedures

The playgroup has established a number of policies and procedures which enable us to ensure the effective and safe management of the service and help us to offer the best possible environment and experience for the children and families who use it. 

These policies and procedures are developed and maintained to ensure that we meet (and in many cases exceed) national minimum standards and regulations.  They are reviewed regularly and updated as necessary.
