School Councils

We have four pupil councils within our school.  Each council has a specific role in helping how the school is run.  Our councils meet regularly and pupils express their views and the views of their classmates and peers to help make decisions about the daily work of the school.  They also implement and lead changes in the school.

School Council
Responsible for organising important events, including the work we regularly do in supporting charities.  Members of this council also represent the school at key events throughout the year.

Criw Cymreig
Responsible for promoting the Welsh language throughout the school and encouraging pupils to increase their use of Welsh whilst in school.  Members also help organise specific Welsh celebrations such as Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant (St David's Day).

Health and Wellbeing Council
Responsible for promoting the health and wellbeing of all of our pupils.  Members of this council encourage their peers to be active within school and promote the benefits to physical and mental health and wellbeing of a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Eco Council
Responsible for promoting an eco-friendly approach within the school.  Members of this council encourage their classmates to act in a way which protects our environment, including ensuring they recycle and use energy efficiently.

Each council has two representatives from Year 1 to Year 6.
