Swan Class

Teacher - Miss Cole

Learning Support Assistant - Mrs Davies

Welcome to our class page! We hope it is of some help to you and your child. If you can't find all that you are looking for, or have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Class Updates

All updates and information will be provided by Class Dojo.  Please ensure that you are connected to our class if you have not done so already.  We will be sharing information such as trips and visits, as well as sharing the children's wonderful experiences and learning journeys with you.

Health and Wellbeing Sessions

Health and Wellbeing Sessions are on a Monday.  Please ensure that the children have appropriate kit in school on these days, in particular a warm kit for games outside during the winter months.

Swimming will be on a rotation, a class for each term. You will be notified when it is Swan's slot.

Reading

Being a fluent reader is vital for your child to access the curriculum. It is vital for your child to be reading at home on a regular basis. Reading daily is one of the most vital tasks for you to do to help your child learn.

Reading books should be brought into school each day, even if they have not been read at home. Please make a note of what they have read in their yellow reading record. We are also very fortunate to have access to the reading programme, Lexia. Each pupil will have a login and has a weekly usage target to meet. This can be accessed on most devices and is also available as an App to download. We would be very grateful if you could support with achieving this. Please ask if you need any help to access this at home.

Homework and Spellings

Homework and spellings will be given out on a Friday and should be returned the following Friday. We also strongly recommend that your child reads daily and also practises their times tables.

I really enjoy that in Swan Class we have different work every day.  We also get to do special things, like for Sageston's 70th birthday we got to create presentation on the 1970s with a partner and we got to dress up!
